Dubai Clinical Psychologist/Psychotherapist

Dr. Katerine LeMay Ph.D., C. Psych.

I hold a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Ottawa and am licensed with the College of Psychologists of Ontario, the Order of Psychologists of Quebec, and the Dubai Health Authority.

Why Should You Consult a Psychologist?

People consult a psychologist for a wide range of reasons. Some consult because they are feeling depressed, anxious, stressed, angry, irritable, are experiencing changes in mood, are having problems sleeping, are feeling alone, have had thoughts of harming themselves or someone else.  Others consult because they are unhappy in their relationships, who they are as individuals, or are going through important changes in their lives such as marriage breakdown, job loss, retirement, parenthood, have had an accident, or are grieving the death of a loved one. Still, some consult because of problems related to their health such as pain or have been diagnosed with a chronic or terminal illness and are having a hard time coping/living with their illness.

Seeing a psychologist is a very personal decision that has no bearing on the severity of a persons difficulties or suffering, nor is it an admission of failure in coping with life's problems. An individual’s ability to cope varies from person to person and within a person. Making a decision to consult can be seen as an important step in your personal development to help you achieve a greater sense of general well-being.

In Dubai, I provide psychotherapy to English and French speaking adults with diverse cultural backgrounds who would like help with anxiety, depression, emotion regulation, interpersonal difficulties or health related issues.
